The MCU coming of the Headpin May be a mystery, but Marvel Comics has an answer

Vincent D'Onofrio's fan-favorite Wilson Fisk/the Bigwig ready-made his full return in Hawkeye episode 6, the now-streaming clos. But his brief arc in the season's final episode led to a somewhat shocking turn for the case's presence in the MCU, leaving intense questions close to his future.

Spoilers ahead for Hawkeye episode 6

In the episode's waning moments, Kingpin limps through and through an back street having narrowly survived acquiring hit by a railcar (driven away Eleanor Bishop), and subsequently beingness winded up by Kate Bishop. There, helium encounters Maya Lopez/Echo, his enforcer/adoptive daughter.

The pair have a confrontation over Kingpin's role in her dearest get's. Under the orders of Fisk, another of his underlings Kazi (Maya's bed interest) leaked the placement of a meeting attended by her founding father to Clint Barton back in his Ronin years when he was murdering criminals by the dozens. Kingpin wanted her father at peace and Ronin gave him what he wanted.

Clint revealed Kingpin's role in his death to Maya in episode 5, and in the closedown moments of the Hawkeye stopping point, Reverberate confronts her 'uncle.' Only things seemingly don't go well for Kingpin, as Maya raises a accelerator pedal to his fountainhead, and as the tv camera cuts away, a gunshot rings down - implying that Mayan language evenhanded shot Headpin in the head.

That may look like a reasonably gash-and-dried if an ignominious ending for a character fans give clamored to join the MCU at large, and who is wide regarded as peerless of Marvel's best adaptations from page to screen. Just there's a comic storyline that ties directly into this beat from Hawkeye, and which may allow an present back door for Kingpin to return from his gunshot wound.

Reverberation's comic backstory is much the same every bit in the MCU, with a few differences. In comics, sooner than Ronin killing her father, one of the Kingpin's assassins murders him, with Headpin subsequently raising Maya to believe that Lunatic killed her father.

In the story Daredevil: Parts of a Hollow, Mayan language's thirst for retaliation sends her after Daredevil, World Health Organization reveals the truth of Kingpin's treason to her, leading her to turn on Kingpin and, atomic number 3 in the MCU, scud him in his face.

But in drama books, Kingpin's survival is quickly spelled out. Rather than dying from the gunfire combat injury, Kingpin survives, though helium is blinded - creating an left over twin between Wilson Fisk and his arc-enemy Daredevil (though Kingpin's cecity is ulterior cured).

Considering the MCU interlingual rendition of Kingpin's intense popularity - and the fact that we didn't see a body, which in superhero media usually means there isn't one to discove - suggests that this story could follow further adapted into the MCU, expected in the upcoming Echo streaming series that spins away from Hawkeye.

Fisk's final words right before the gunshot power also provide a clue to his fate. "....Sometimes family doesn't see eye to eye," he says, which might be a clue to his endurance but bright as a result of his wounds.

Whether Kingpin shows up in Echo or not, Marvel Comics has already provided the MCU with a perfect angle to keep Kingpin loss, despite the seeming cliffhanger of his offscreen decease - and it's unlikely they'll merely leave that cliffhanger dangling, especially with a story in situ to provide an answer.
